Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

My approach to counseling is grounded in culturally informed, client-centered, and humanistic philosophies. My goal is to support you in developing tools to deal with complicated feelings and situations. I intend to hold a space where you feel free to show up as yourself and reach your fullest potential, without judgement. In this therapeutic space, you and I will work collaboratively to foster healing, hope, and resilience. I have a diverse background working with clients ranging from adolescents to adults. I have received extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis, and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also utilize art-making, when appropriate, to encourage insight and personal growth. Art therapy is beneficial for all ages and artistic abilities. Art-making is used to gain insight, provide a space for productive conversation, develop coping skills, and promote mindfulness and emotional stability. I invite you to be curious about yourself, and I hope to join you on your therapeutic journey.

About Me:

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and most of all my cat “Mumu”. When I am looking to unwind, I spend time making art, some of my favorite art mediums are acrylic paint, clay, charcoal, and mix media. I love making and sharing meals with my family and friends. After a long day, I like to relax by watching true crime and murder mystery shows. One thing on my bucket list is to travel more internationally.
