Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

I have over 10 years of experience providing individual counseling services working in community mental health, private practice, and multiple college counseling centers. I have particular interest in working with emerging adults as well as adults dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, grief, and other phase of life concerns. I strive to create a collaborative atmosphere, where clients are empowered to be fully focused on themselves and their needs each and every session.  Whether clients are in need of healing or growth, I value the time each client is dedicating to their journey.

Specialty Areas & Client Focus

  • Emerging Adults

  • Adults with Anxiety and/or Depression

  • Postpartum

  • Emerging Adults/Adults looking for support in their coming out process

About Me:

Being a counselor and counselor educator is such a big part of my life and identity! I feel so grateful to walk so many journeys with clients and students. I also am consistently working to find a balance in my personal and professional life, as being a mother and partner are also important identities (for me). Some of the things that help to keep that balance going is hiking (so many beautiful areas around here), reading (counseling and non-counseling related content), building legos (or really any other activity where I get to re-live creativity with my kiddo), and trips back to see my family in South Dakota!
