Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

Counseling can be intimidating, but I’ve made it my goal to create a trusting environment that is free from judgment and somewhere you feel safe enough to be your most authentic self. I want you to leave my office feeling truly heard, validated, and empowered to face your day-to-day challenges. Each person is unique and will process in different ways, so I do not believe in a “one size fits all” type of treatment. Instead I want to work with you collaboratively to find ways to enhance your mental well-being that is appropriate to your lifestyle. My primary area of interest is trauma, specifically the impact trauma has on both the mind and body. Together we can work to process the difficult emotions and thoughts that have left you feeling stuck. However, I will always meet you where you are and never push you in a direction you are not ready for. The counseling session is your time and you have control over what you choose to discuss that day. With me as your counselor, you’ll be supported and no longer have to walk through this alone.

About Me:

When the weather is nice and I’m not in the office I tend to go on long hikes and search for cool looking mushrooms. Although during colder months, I tend to hibernate inside and read books (my favorite is the Dune series.)  Also, I am a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur and enjoy coffee tourism! It is important to note: if you tell me you have a cat, I will ask their name and if I can see a picture of your furry friend!
