Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

Your story is unique. I partner with you to reimagine your story and work through the bits that continue to hold you back. We explore tools to craft future chapters by tapping into your unique strengths and resources. I invite you to live in the present, mindful of your body, aware of your thoughts, and attentive to your emotions; fully alive and present to your life. I see through a multicultural lens attuned to power imbalances, religious/spiritual trauma, race/ethnicity, sexual/gender diversity, socioeconomic injustice and the many ways that they intersect. I recognize systemic inequities create ongoing trauma making it difficult to thrive.

About Me:

I take pleasure in learning about life from people who share different experiences of the world. I have lived in South Asia for over a decade. I can speak (and eat) in Bengali. My formal studies have included theology, fine art, and clinical mental health. I am a potter and have a ceramics studio in my basement where, once I get started, I can lose myself for hours. I love snow, fiction, Ethiopian food, psychological thrillers (TV or book), waterfalls, Carl Jung, and body length pillows.
