Theoretical Approach & Philosophies of Counseling:

My approach to counseling and the world at large is deeply rooted in the humanistic experience. Many of my sessions begin or end with the simple question: what, if any, support do you need, or can I offer? When working together, my highest priority is to be a partner in your mental health journey. Rather than pushing or pulling from behind or ahead, my goal is to walk alongside you as we discover what works best for you. When you feel safe, supported, and as though you can be your authentic self, that is when change and growth can occur. I have worked with clients from ages 4 to 64 in a variety of settings including school based, community mental health, and private practice. I have also received and provided extensive training in Motivational Interviewing across multiple professions and settings. I look forward to our potential work together!

About Me:

In my free time outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends, baking, reading, writing and playing music, rewatching the cheesy 80’s action movies I grew up with, teaching Mastubayashi Shorin-Ryu karate, or having recently become married, spending time with my wife.
